Come on and join us anytime between 10am and 2pm for a convention-style presentation by local camera stores, photographic related companies and photo schools. Participants include Freestyle Photo, Calumet Camera, Samy’s Camera, Tuttle Cameras, Bill’s Camera, Julia Dean Photographic Workshops, Urban Photo Adventures, PCL West Imaging, Epson Printers, ASMP Los Angeles and Art Center College of Design.

The New Age of Discovery. A tour of black and white paper from around the world. presented by Eric Joseph
This informative and educational seminar/workshop will explore the new papers that have come into the United States in black and white darkroom photography over the past several years. The first hour we'll tour around the world and show you the manufacturer's operations and give a brief history of each. Then, the remainder of the time will be spent in the darkroom printing on each of these papers. You will learn and print on papers from manufacturers such as Foma, Slavich, Adox, and Fotokemika. As an added bonus, Freestyle Advisory Board Member Marc Valesella with demonstrate how to get the most from modern B&W film emulsions with his specially custom built high definition enlarger. Limited enrollment.

What is a Holga? Or a Lomo? My cool new camera cost three thousand bucks and look at the size of the glass on it! Why would I want to shoot with a thirty dollar plastic camera with a plastic lens and light leaks? Toy camera photography is becoming very popular and allows the photographer full creative freedom without being constrained by photo gear.
